Thank You To Our Donors
for purchasing signs, buttons, masks, window clings, etc. We appreciate you!
Why vote yes?
A yes vote for this levy is far more than a yes vote for Camas schools. The high quality of education is the core of our community, and it’s to credit for our influx of wonderful small businesses, new families, and aspiring young minds. The success of our school district is intertwined with all facets of our community, so to vote no for the progression of our schools is to vote no for the progression of our community. We have created something special in this town and it would be ludicrous to stop now. Vote YES!
Thank you! Evan Klein
In Camas and throughout Washington, voter-approved funding for bonds and levies makes up a critical shortfall between state funding and school districts’ actual needs. Voting yes is crucial to preserving the high quality of the CSD as we know it.
Our current CSD levies – one for Educational Programming & Operations and one for Technology/Capital– began in 2022 and expire at the end of 2024.
These monies have been vital for covering approximately 15% of the total CSD budget every year, including:
Educational support
Teachers and support staff
Transportation and crossing guards
Music and art
Elective classes
Health services
Drug prevention education
Professional development
Substitutes
Building maintenance and operations
Asset preservation
Grounds and building maintenance
Custodial supplies and equipment
Facilities improvements
Utilities and Insurance
Student learning and activities
Athletics and after-school activities
Coaches and advisers
Textbooks and curricula
Social-emotional learning
AP programs
Highly Capable (Aspire program)
Special education services
Special education teachers
Special education assistants
Instructional materials and supplies
We are asking for your support to continue levy funding for Camas Schools past 2024.
This is not a new tax.
Results for the Long Run
In asking for your yes vote in the Feb. 13, 2024, special election, we also recognize that these are uncertain times for all.
However, by replacing these levies after they expire, our students, staff, and Camas schools will continue to thrive.
